Key activities

 Clinical care and health outreach: The SOVHEN Community Health Centers (HCIII), fully licensed by the Republic of Uganda-Medical and Dental Practitioners Council offer primary outpatient care, maternal and child health services, HIV care and treatment. In 2011, an expansion to the Health Centers tripled space and included dedicated maternity wings. In 2012, SOVHEN deployed a team of community health workers to recruit and enroll all pregnant women in the community in the entire continuum of maternal and child health care. In 2013,3,300 people in the community are enrolled in HIV care. From 2011-2018, we also provide family planning services and provide robust community outreach and clinical services to children up to age 5. Education: Emphasis on keeping girls in school with Girls Mentoring which combats gender-based violence and
through providing basic needs (uniforms, sanitary pads); School-based health outreach; Secondary school scholarships; School agriculture, which beautifies the grounds and provides food Economic Development: Agricultural training; Women’s Sewing Cooperative; Soap Making Cooperative
