Joint Global Development
Network Uganda (JOGD-NET) is a Non Profit making Organization based in Alebtong
District, Uganda; It was started in March 2015
with a VISION of "enhancing sustainable results of
every positive development" so as to improve societies' standards of
living and a MISSION of expressing commitment in "Health
gap, protection of human being through rights, support to bridge
development, monitor existing development and advice stakeholders on
the sustainable measures on behalf of community, assistance and responding
to emergency relief.
JOGD-NET CORE
VALUES: is "Accountability, Stewardship, Team work, Integrity,
Excellence, Innovation and Voluntarism" It was started by people of
humanity and passion after witnessing
the state and level of suffering that communities, children, women and youth
were going through, especially in northern Uganda.
The over 20 years of
Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) insurgency in the region inflicted a lot of
suffering to these communities especially the children, women and youth and
general populations where thousands of them have poor health and lack
health services. This has reduced the quality of human life in northern Uganda,
where children, women, youth and adults have lost dignity and means of
livelihood.
Currently the
organization intends to conduct medical camps in
the inevitable communities to bring health services to nearer since
most of them are living 5Kms away from the health facilities.
