Hands on Global

Hands on Global is a non-profit organization who travel to Zanskar in Northern India to provide medical care to a Tibetan buddhist community. We are going this year in June 3 - July 3, 2019. Last year we had a group that included MDs, NPs, nurses, physical therapists, massage/reiki therapists, radiologist, students, and Tibetan doctors. We need optometrist, pharmacist, and MPH trained to do public health. We see folks with GERD, gastritis, parasites, arthritis, etc. Our mission is to make the Sowa Rigpa Clinic sustainable year round. We have space for a few more members. This area is very remote, it takes 2 days to get there by jeep to the Dalai Lama's clinic. In the Himalayas, members also have an opportunity to visit the local monasteries and temples. Some of our members who were adventurous took the trek to Phuktal Monastery located in a cave that is so remote that it can only be reached by foot after hiking for a day.
